Congrats to 5th graders

On Tuesday, June 11, we witnessed a heartwarming milestone as Wiley’s 5th-grade students celebrated their promotion. This special occasion marked the end of a significant chapter in the lives of these young students and the beginning of an exciting new journey into middle school.

The ceremony was filled with proud parents, teachers, and staff, all eager to honor the achievements of our graduating students. Principal Avery kicked off the ceremony with an inspiring speech, highlighting the remarkable growth and accomplishments of the 5th graders over the past year.

There were smiles, cheers, and even a few tears as they walked across the stage, one by one, to the applause of their family and friends.

A highlight of the event was the students’ musical performance. Under the direction of music teacher, Ms. Hemedinger, the 5th graders sang a song that reflected their journey at Wiley. Their voices, full of hope and excitement, left the audience moved and optimistic about the future these young graduates will shape.

As the ceremony drew to a close, there was a sense of nostalgia mixed with anticipation. The students took photos with their families, friends and teachers, capturing memories that will last a lifetime. The celebration continued with a reception outside, where families and teachers shared stories and best wishes over refreshments.

Congratulations to the Wiley Elementary 5th grade class of 2024—you’ve made us all incredibly proud, and we can't wait to see what you achieve next!
