Volunteer Opportunities
Wiley PTA programs and events would not be possible without the generous support of our volunteers. Your involvement greatly benefits our students and our school as a whole. It's also an excellent way to connect with other caregivers and strengthen our sense of community.
Current volunteer needs are listed below. Please check back as needs change frequently throughout the school year.
International Carnival
Our annual International Carnival will be held on Thursday, 4/17 at 5pm on the Wiley soccer field. Enjoy performances by our foreign language classes, music groups, and community performance groups. Dang Good Dogs, Las Gringas, Kona Ice, and pay-what-you-can pizza will be available. Volunteers are needed throughout the event, please sign up here.
Spring Book Fair
Wiley PTA has partnered with Scholastic for our annual Spring Book Fair, which will be held in the Media Center from Monday - Friday, 4/21 - 4/25. It takes many helping hands to make the Book Fair run smoothly, so please consider signing up for a volunteer slot here.
Science Night
We are thrilled to announce the return of Science Night on April 24th from 5:00-6:30pm! To make Science Night a success, we need volunteers to help run ten hands-on activities for students. Volunteers will be provided with all supplies and instructions and should plan to be at Wiley from 4:15-7:00pm for setup and cleanup.
If you're interested in volunteering, please [sign up here]. For questions, contact Hadley Cairns-Heath at hcairns-heath@wcpss.net. Thank you!
Grounds Volunteers
Calling All High Schoolers! Help Wiley and Earn Service Hours
Do you have a high schooler or know one in need of service hours? Wiley PTA is launching a Junior Sustainability Committee this spring! We’re inviting high school students to help with grounds work at Wiley every weekend in April and early May, with two-hour volunteer shifts available. It’s a great way for older students to give back to their elementary roots—plus it helps keep our campus looking beautiful for our Wiley students!
