Wiley School Talent Show 2023

On Friday, May 12, 2023, Wiley Elementary School buzzed with excitement as students showcased their amazing talents. The Wiley PTA Talent Show Committee organized a school-wide talent show split into two parts – one for the students during the day and another for the parents in the evening.

The stage was set for the young stars to shine after the school's Assistant Principal, Katie, kicked off the event with an uplifting video presentation titled 'A School Called Wiley'. She then joined a 1st-grade trio, Elle, Aubrey, and Sylvie, as they captivated the audience with their delightful rendition of Hamilton’s Schuyler Sisters.

The audience was treated to a piano performance by 2nd grader James, who skillfully played the Star Wars Theme. First-grader Henry had everyone in stitches with his comedy act, while his classmate Zadie impressed everyone with her energetic dance to Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex.

Callida, another talented 2nd grader, masterfully played ‘Let it Go’ from Frozen on the piano. Maven, a 1st grader, showcased her dancing skills with a performance to ‘Am I Wrong’ by Idina Menzel. Blaiz, a 2nd grader, touched hearts with his original poem, ‘Sibling Love’, and Paige, a 3rd grader, displayed her songwriting talent with an original song, Everyday, which she sang beautifully a capella.

Farrah, also in 3rd grade, followed with a powerful performance of "I'll Get You What You Want" from Muppets Most Wanted.

Mabel, another 3rd grader, played a mesmerizing rendition of "Forest Drums" by Faber and Faber on the piano. The crowd cheered as Hugo, also in 3rd grade, played the nostalgic "Mario Bros Theme Song" by Koji Kondo.

Margot, a 3rd grader, had everyone singing along to her energetic performance of "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus. The show then took a more athletic turn, with Hazel and Campbell, both 3rd graders, performing impressive gymnastics routines to "He's a Pirate" by Klaus Bedelt and "Cheerleader" by OMI, respectively.

Lloyd, a 5th grader, rocked the stage with his guitar performance of "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple. The evening continued with a captivating dramatic performance titled "Café Catastrophe" by 4th graders Eleanor, Marisa, and Marin.

Mya, a 4th grader, touched the audience with her soulful rendition of "Lost Boy" by Ruth B. Madeline, also in 4th grade, showcased her skills on the violin with a creative "Red River Valley and Swanee River Mash-up."

Jeremy, a 4th grader from Honduras, wowed the crowd with a skillful dance compilation. Daniel, a 5th grader, demonstrated his martial arts prowess to the empowering tune of "Unstoppable" by Sia.

Zachary, a 4th grader, delivered a stunning piano performance, playing Lunar Eclipse by Faber. The grand finale was a thrilling dance performance by The 5 Starzz, consisting of Devronae, Tatiana, DaNaya, Chloe, and special guest Omari. Their dance compilation left the audience in awe.

The talent show was emceed by the charismatic 5th graders, Linus and Lorelei, who ensured the event was a resounding success.

The Wiley PTA Talent Show Committee's dedication to providing a platform for students to express their creativity truly paid off. The Wiley Elementary School Talent Show of 2023 was a night to remember for everyone involved.
