Fall Club Topics Announced
Wiley Afterschool Clubs run on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:30. The Fall Session will run for six weeks, from September 28-November 2, 2022.
The Wiley PTA coordinates three six-week sessions of clubs throughout the school year. The clubs are administered by TEK, which pays our teachers to lead the clubs. Participation in clubs supports our teachers.
Registration is open from Sept 7th until Sept 16th.

STEAM Stories > Grades K-1
Taught by Sharon Abel Are you excited for good books and love exploring the world of STEAM? Then this is the club for you! Each week, we will share some of our favorite books, teach important literacy skills and connect it all to a STEAM activity. We will read some exciting titles such as, How do you Build That, and have a building challenge, Dragons Love Tacos, and erupt our own volcanoes, Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, and explode elephant toothpaste! Come see how much fun books and STEAM can be!
Chess Mates > Grades K-5
Taught by Molly Strom and Mackenzie Dull
Come learn all about the exciting game of chess! This playful clear-cut game encourages problem-solving and analytical skills, positive self-esteem, as well as verbal and memory reasoning. Join the chess club and become a critical thinker as you learn the skills to play this fun, thought-provoking game. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate, or an experienced chess player, you will have an amazing time, all while sharpening your mind! Players will be grouped according to their level, and instruction will be given for appropriate levels.
Crafty Creators- Exploring Animals > Grades 1-3
Taught by Challie Sullivan
Join us as we explore the exciting world of animals and crafting! We will learn about a new animal each week through literacy connections and will do a craft to go along with each lesson. We will explore the world of sharks, fish, birds, bats, and more! You will be able to bring home unique, handmade items to share with your family. If you love expressing your creativity AND love animals, then this is the club for you!
Pop Into Art! > Grades 2-5
Taught by Katie Ware
Calling all artists to explore the world of pop art! In this cool, unique club students will learn new skills and create pieces of visual art to adorn the walls! Ms. Ware is excited to tap into the creativity and imagination of Wiley's kiddos as she leads them to explore design concepts, self-expression, and techniques to make their art make a statement!
STEMtastic Scientists > Grades 2-5
Taught by Quentin Murray
Students are heading on a STEMtastic mission where we will explore the world of science through hands-on experiences. We will investigate the science behind engineering, meteorology, and chemistry with cool experiments and projects. Get ready to build unique structures, explode some concoctions, and delve into some exciting STEM challenges. Don't miss out on this amazing STEMtastic experience!
