Fall Book Fair

The Wiley Fall Book Fair will be held next week, October 24 through 28, in the Media Center!

Local bookstore Quail Ridge Books has collaborated with Wiley administration to curate an exciting and educational book selection and will donate a portion of the proceeds from the Book Fair to the Wiley PTA to help support Wiley students, staff, and community.

If you’d prefer to shop Quail Ridge Books online, use code WILEY1022 until October 30th.  (Please share this link and promo code with family and friends!)

Students will first attend the Book Fair at the beginning of the week with their homeroom teachers, where they can browse books and create wishlists. Parents can send students to school with money to purchase books, or they can purchase books for their students.

The Book Fair will be open:

Monday:  9:15 am - 2:45pm (open for student previews)

Tuesday: 9:15 am - 2:45pm and 6pm - 7:30pm (open for previews and Open House)

Wednesday: 9:15am - 4:30 pm (open for afterschool sales)

Thursday: 9:15am - 4:30 pm (open for after-school sales)

Friday: 8am - 10am (open early, stop in for coffee and donuts before school!)

If you’d like to help, a few volunteer opportunities are available.

The Wiley PTA’s Book Fairy program will ensure that every student who wants a book gets one regardless of their ability to pay.   This year, we will distribute Book Fairy tickets to 105 students.  Please consider helping the PTA fund this important program by buying a few tickets for our students here.

To make this event even more exciting, the Fall Wiley Wear Sale will kick off at the Book Fair, so get ready to show your school spirit with some awesome shirts, hoodies, hats, and more!

For a surprise visit, third-grade students will get a visit from poet and favorite Wiley author Michael Beadle, who will read his new book, “What Makes a Giraffe Laugh”.  Signed copies will be available at the Book Fair, and Mr. Beadle will host a writing workshop at Wiley this spring.

We are grateful for PTA’s extraordinary Book Fair Committee has put in a lot of time to ensure all Wiley students have a great experience at the Fair!
