Get ready for Fall Book Fair!

Get excited! Wiley is partnering with local bookstore, Quail Ridge Books, for our annual Fall Book Fair. A portion of sales from the Book Fair will be donated to Wiley PTA to support students and staff.

Wanna help?

A variety of volunteer shifts are available beginning with set-up on Monday, 11/20, student preview and sales starting Monday, 11/27, continuing through break-down on Friday 12/1. Please sign up for one or more volunteer slots here.

How can I donate books to fulfill students’ wish lists?

At Wiley, we are proud of our PTA Book Fairy program that ensures that every student gets a new book from the book fair in the Fall and Spring. Through the Book Fairy program, we provide approximately 100 books to students each book fair, but it is only possible through donations from our Wiley community. Help us turn our students into lifetime readers by donating to the Book Fairy program!

When is the Wiley Fall Book Fair?

Monday 11/27 - Friday 12/1

How can my child/family attend the book fair?

Students first attend the Wiley Book Fair with their homeroom teachers. During this time, students browse books and create their personal wish lists with assistance from Wiley Book Fair volunteers. Students can then return after school or with their teachers during the week to purchase books.

What if I’m unable to attend in person but want to shop?

You’ll be able to shop online and in person with Quail Ridge Books from 11/27-12/3.

  • For online shopping: Find the books you would like to purchase, add them to your cart, and use the code WILEY1123 at checkout. You may select to pick up your order at Quail Ridge Books or have your order mailed. Free Media Mail Shipping is available on orders over $75.

  • For in-store shopping: Please mention Wiley Elementary School Book Fair at check out.

How does my child/family pay for books?

Books can be purchased with cash, check, debit, or credit cards. You can send the appropriate amount of cash in with your student, or shop with them if they are not quite ready to handle money on their own. If paying by check, please make the check payable to ‘Wiley Elementary PTA’.

I’d like my child to participate in the book fair, but I’m concerned about the cost. Is any assistance available?

Yes! At Wiley, we are proud of our Book Fairy program that ensures that every student gets a new book from the book fair in the Fall and Spring. Through the Book Fairy program, we provide approximately 100 books to students each book fair. If you would like your child to participate in the Book Fairy program, please inform their home room teacher.

Is tax added to the cost of the book, or is it the price listed?

We use the US price listed on the book, and round up to the nearest whole dollar. For example, if the book price is listed at $5.99 US, the Wiley Book Fair price is $6 US.

What if a book I want runs out of stock at the Book Fair?

At the Wiley Book Fair, it is inevitable that some books become unpredictably more popular than others. For all book sales, whether in stock or not, Wiley Book Fair volunteers document all sales and provide a receipt for all purchases.

For books that are out-of-stock at the fair, the student will leave the Book Fair with a receipt for the book, and the Wiley Book Fair Committee coordinates with Quail Ridge Books to order the out of stock book, and then the book is delivered to the student in their home room.

How can I donate books to fulfill teachers’ wish lists?

When you visit the Wiley Book Fair, teachers will have their own wish lists available for caregivers to review. If you are so inspired, you can add a teacher’s wish list book to your total purchase, and we drop the book directly into their wish list bag. If the book is unavailable, we will let them know the book was purchased and will be delivered at a later date, when other out of stock books are ordered and delivered.
